Just like back in August:

Recurring subscription payments have not been processing since 12/28.

No recurring subscription payments have processed for 12/29 or 12/30.

I wonder if it because of once again PayPal modifying part of the system on a Friday:

look at my post below. Posted it yesterday, but still no respons from anyone.
I also have problems, but at least I am getting some payments. Seems like there is a HUGE delay, as we still have only received about half the payments from saturday. Todays payments have not even started.

I am getting about 4 recurring payments each hour. Its been like this since friday. WHATS GOING ON????
Looks like idiots at paypal once again are messing up. And like last time in august, it happens in holliday time.
Kudos!

At least you've got some payments coming through. None here since Friday.

I wouldn't say the staff at PayPal are idiots, I quite appreciate the service and I think they provide an excellent product, and the developers are capable of things that are beyond my scope of skills so I'd have to say they're actually quite bright individuals. I just think occasionally some poor choices are made when changes are brought in (such as changing something on a Friday and having part of the system sit broken over the weekend on more than one occasion now).

I was a bit surprised that when I called today about this issue it took 20 minutes and speaking to two different reps who couldn't seem to grasp what the phrase "recurring subscription payments have not been processing for two days" meant. I had to provide an extensive explanation after being misunderstood a few times, which was a bit frustrating.

However, I don't think calling anyone an idiot is a good way to help get this resolved. Sorry if I seem like I'm lecturing you adriano, I'm not. I understand and feel your frustration, *believe me I do*. I just hope that this doesn't turn into a bash-fest, but rather, a tool to help us get the wheels in motion to get this problem fixed.

Kudos!

no, their not idiots. Just so fed up with paypal messing up, without informing anyone. So since friday, I have received an average of five payments EVERY hour.

Did Paypal admit that there was a problem, when you talked to them? did they know there was something wrong at all?
If they did, then theres hope.
I still miss about 900 payments since friday.
Kudos!

Actually, no, the two people I spoke to (first a rep, and then her supervisor) had no clue what I was talking about. At first I was told things like "well, maybe your subscribers cancelled" and other such things, and I had to give them actual examples of payments that were supposed to be coming through. I had to give them a customer's name, the amount, the date they subscribed, etc... so that they could confirm that the transaction was indeed supposed to be processed on 12/29, and then they took the information I gave them to submit a ticket to a different department. So trust me, I do feel your frustration. I was astounded that nobody knew. It was as if I was the only person who had reported it so far (when I can see on other boards that other people have noticed it before me). Perhaps it's just that not enough merchants are reporting the issue... (shrug)
Kudos!

PayPal is sending us and our customers notifications that the funding source is "unavailable" when in fact the credit card providers are telling us that no attempts for payment have been received from PayPal. After the re-tries, PayPal is automatically cancelling our customer's subscriptions.
